Brisbane Stadium hosted this blockbuster in front of 49,378, mainly Brazilian, enthusiastic fans. The stadium was awash with yellow and a
sprinkling of French Blue. This game attracted more spectators than the Australia v Nigeria group game a couple of days earlier. If you've never been to the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, then this gave you a taste of that famous stadium. (29th July 2023)
Outside the Stadium, Brazilian Television was conducting a live broadcast back to the favelas of Sao Paulo and Rio's Copacabana beach.
The Terrors scarf joined in, here proudly being waved by a lifelong East Stirlingshire fan (another black and white team) for all to see. The presenter seems unfazed by the enormity of the occasion - by the aura created by "The Scarf". If you were watching on Brazilian TV, did you see The Scarf?
The cameraman panned the group and didn't quite know what to make of The Scarf - or The Terrors fan holding it.
He maintained his high
level of professionalism and wasn't phased. Obrigado!
