The 1971 edition was presented on foolscap paper (difficult to reproduce on standard 21st century technology) and included a report on the
summer 'Annual Works Outing' to Sweden/Norway/France/Switzerland; hint, select two of the four. Jim Farmer, Dave Webb, Paul Tinwell and
Fred Farrow were presented with their Queen's Scout Awards during the year. As overage Unit members, Fred took on the Quarter Master's role and
Jim took on the Treasurer's role. Overall, this issue lacked substance (i.e. contributions), the works outing report aside, and some of the copying was not of
the greatest quality.
For those pages that are hard to read, try zooming in to be able to read them. The EXCEPTION is the three page report of the Annual Works Outing. These have
been retyped on a 21st century laptop and scanned to make easy reading. The reason being is that Fred is keen to learn why his food was so spicy!
