Winner's shirt 5-a-Side Stats

Nearly 50 years after the great triumph, (48 to be precise), Andy Day proudly models the shirt he wore at Wembley Stadium....oops! ... The Fort. It's hard to say which has lasted the test of time the best. Andy Day (aka "Bud") kept a record of the 1971/2 tournament.
It shows that Wayne Smith was the top scorer with 13 goals
followed by John Rees with nine.

5-a-Side Stats

Andy Day kept a record of the 1970/1 tournament for the Unit's
"B" team. The "B" team were knocked out by eventual runners up, Dragons VSU.

Wayne Smith recalls:

"If I'm not mistaken this team sheet for the B team was for the 1970/1 competition. The A team consisted of Nick Rodger, Ian Spencer, Wayne Smith, Ewen Anderson and 2 others who I can't remember. We, (the A team), got to the semi finals but we were beaten by Battersea VSU 2-0. I remember Ian got into an altercation with one of the opposition and it got a bit messy!!!!!!"
