The Little Fella
Caving in the Late 1960s
Be Prepared

These photos come from the late 1960s. Caving was a very popular activity in Streatham. Not that there were many known caves in Streatham. To experience the same environment as enjoyed by Moley from Wind in the Willows, members of the Estreham VSU and Livingstone VSU and others ventured further afield to places like Somerset, Derbyshire, Yorkshire - in fact anywhere where they could escape the bright lights of the swinging sixties.

This one's easy to spot. The odd one out is ??

Wakey, Wakey, Rise and Shine Always Look on the Bright Side of Life

Wakey, Wakey, Rise and Shine Always Look on the Bright Side of Life
The good looking one in the top bunk is Richard Chambers.
The trouserless one is Chris Potts. This photo was taken in the
upstairs bunk room of the Queen Victoria pub in Priddy, Somerset.

Memory. Chris fell down the stairs one night. No one got out of bed to see if he was
alright and in the silence that followed he could be heard saying "Left over right
and under, right over left and under" as he tried to retie his pyjamas.

Paul Tinwell - a man made to cave if ever there was one
